Product Introduction
The thrust free sleeve compensator is a key component used in pipeline systems, mainly to absorb the thermal expansion and contraction of pipelines caused by temperature changes, ensuring the stable operation of pipeline systems. Its core feature is the ability to eliminate the thrust of medium pressure on the fixed bracket, thereby reducing the load on the bracket and saving material and construction costs.
1. Working principle
The thrust free sleeve compensator is based on Pascal's theory in fluid mechanics and achieves force balance through clever structural design. Its main structure includes:
Circular chamber: There are two circular pressure surfaces inside, one fixed and the other moving with the expansion tube.
Force balance mechanism: The medium pressure acts on two annular surfaces, with opposite directions and equal magnitudes, thus canceling each other out. Therefore, the bracket only needs to withstand the frictional force of the packing, without considering the thrust generated by the medium pressure.
2. Main features
No thrust design: reduces the load on fixed brackets and lowers engineering costs.
High sealing performance: using flexible graphite packing to enhance sealing performance and extend service life.
Wide applicability: Suitable for industries such as steam, heating, chemical, petroleum, etc.
High temperature and high pressure resistance: The working temperature can reach 350 ℃, and the pressure range is ≤ 2.5MPa.
3. Technical parameters
Nominal diameter (DN) Compensation amount (mm) Installation length (mm) Applicable temperature and pressure
25-1000    40-400    810-2650    ≤350℃    ≤2.5MPa
4. Installation requirements
The welding end needs to be beveled and subjected to a hydrostatic test.
A guide sliding bracket needs to be installed to ensure axial expansion and contraction.
The insulation structure shall not constrain the expansion pipe.
5. Application advantages
Cost savings: Fixed bracket costs can be reduced by over 60%.
Easy maintenance: Adopting oil injection sealing technology to reduce the risk of leakage.
Strong adaptability: suitable for various pipeline layout methods such as trench and high-altitude installation.
